Privacy and local processing

How text, files and HMAC keys are handled locally, what downloads contain, and which normal website requests still reach the host.

Current local-processing notice — publication details pending

This page describes the implemented behavior, not a claim that the entire website is offline or anonymous. The public operator and contact details are not yet confirmed; this draft is noindex until those details and any hosting-specific legal requirements are reviewed.

Inputs and memory

Text, selected files, expected digests and HMAC keys are processed in the current browser session. The application does not submit them to a conversion server or save them in localStorage, cookies, URLs or an account. File bytes are read in 2 MiB chunks in a Worker. Cancel terminates the Worker. Clearing the form invalidates results and clears the entered key; leaving the page also disposes of the Worker. Browser memory behavior is not a certified secure-erasure guarantee.

Normal website requests

Your browser requests pages, scripts, styles and local image assets from the host. The hosting provider may receive technical request information such as IP address and user agent according to its own configuration. No hosting-log retention duration has been verified, so no invented deletion period is promised. The application does not send text, file names, digests or keys to analytics or advertising endpoints.

Downloads and third-party configuration

Downloads are created locally with Blob URLs and contain identifiers, algorithm names and complete digests; file exports intentionally include selected file names. Source text and keys are not included by default. Save files only where you want them retained.

Optional Google Analytics 4 is available only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It measures page visits and interactions and may use cookies or similar identifiers. Google may receive browser, device, page and approximate location information. Text, files, file names, digests and HMAC keys are not sent as analytics events. The browser stores your analytics choice; use “Analytics preferences” to change or withdraw it. Advertising remains off.
